NFL had yet to sign letters of intent (LoIs) under the urea purchase tender closed on 8 June at press time. Sources say the company is in the final stage of preparations before signing LoIs to buy about 1.704 million t of urea at counteroffers of $449.30/t CFR India’s West Coast and $444.90/t CFR India’s East Coast soon. The commodity shall leave loading ports for India’s West and East Coasts by 20 July 2026.
Market players expect to see some volumes of the Chinese fertilizer in India, but the exact information about specific urea cargoes is yet to be heard. Suppliers may provide a large amount of the Russian prilled variety under the latest purchase tender.
