Some local companies purchased foreign granular urea at $970—980/t CFR Australia for May shipment last week, sources said. WFM will update you on the fertilizer quantity and origin in the next issues.
The Australian government is in talks with the Indonesian one to buy about 250,000 t of granular urea at a formula-based price for shipment from May to December 2026. Market players believe that the negotiations may drag on and the agreement may take longer to reach.
In other news, Koch is reportedly looking for a vessel to ship about 45,000 t of urea from Onne, Nigeria, to Geelong, Kembla and Brisbane, Australia, on 30 April—4 May. Besides, there is another request for the shipment of the same urea quantity from Onne port to Australia’s West Coast on 5—9 May.
