The US-Iran ceasefire is due to expire on 21 April.

Meanwhile, Indian import demand for amsul is picking up. HURL will close on 22 April a tender to buy 30,000t of standard caprolactam-grade amsul and RCF will close on 30 April a tender to buy 35,000t of the same grade. A third, much larger, tender from NFL is widely anticipated to be announced this week.

Elsewhere, three Iranian producers have received export permits from the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) to offer 30,000 t each of granular urea for shipment in late April to early May. The approvals come one week after NPC suspended exports of all petrochemical products with effect from 13 April.

The Nola urea market meanwhile ticked higher today as the potential for the resumption of traffic through Hormuz was derailed.

In the gas market, the TTF front month contract opened on 17 April at €42/ MWh but has since dipped to €39 / MWh at the time of writing on 20 April.
