As part of broader efforts to support domestic agriculture, the Turkish government, by Presidential Decision No. 11147 dated 2 April 2026, exempted AS (HS code 310221), AN (HS code 310230), CAN (HS code 310240), NPK (HS code 310520), DAP (HS code 310530) and NP (HS codes 310551/310559) from import duties. The decision was published on 3 April 2026 and entered into force on the same date. The move comes alongside existing export restrictions on certain nitrogen products, including AN and CAN, reinforcing Turkiye’s focus on prioritising domestic supply.
