Indicative prices for October-shipped Nigerian granular urea have been running at $495—500/t FOB Nigeria this week.
Dangote has closed no fresh deals for granular urea since last week, but it has been in talks with customers from Ethiopia and other countries. Reminder: Dangote sold 30,000 t of granular urea to an undisclosed buyer at $485/t FOB Nigeria for shipment to an open destination in late September last week, after which the supplier started asking around $490/t FOB Nigeria and above for its granular product.
Dangote is making granular urea smoothly.
According to WFM’s sources, Indorama has already sold out of its H1 October-shipped granular urea.
A company is in the freight market for a vessel to send 30,000 t of granular urea from Lagos, Nigeria, to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on 16 October—1 November.
