IPL has made counteroffers equalling the lowest quotes of $935/t CFR India’s West Coast from Millennium Commodity and $959/t CFR India’s East Coast from Ameropa and Chasemax International under the tender closed on 15 April 2026. The suppliers shall either accept or reject them by 14.00 Indian Standard Time on 17 April 2026.
This time, IPL has reportedly asked suppliers to indicate the origin of each cargo for further classification into two groups. The first group is for urea shipped from locations requiring passage through the Strait of Hormuz (from the Persian Gulf) and the second one for the fertilizer of other origins.
